Give Yourself Space

to breathe…to settle…to feel at home.

Welcome! My name is Jessica Waters and I have been guiding people through transformational decluttering work for almost three decades.

Early on while working in homes of all sizes and shapes, it became clear that my clients and their belongings were in a profoundly-rooted relationship. They were attached not just to their stuff, but also to harsher feelings like guilt, shame and fear. This destabilizing connection is tied to unconscious beliefs such as I am not not safe, I don’t belong, and I don’t deserve to feel happy and free. In fact, these thoughts may be currently running your life (and home) without you ever realizing it!

How does it work?

I support women who have already tried all kinds of organizing, purging, donating, and rearranging techniques. They have bought the books, taken the workshops, watched the videos, but somehow, the dusty clutter keeps clinging to your life.

That’s because it’s not about the stuff. The most profound shifts have happened when we zero in on what lies beneath the clutter—uncovering which feelings that you have used to distract, hide, obscure, numb. Once those have been acknowledged, the shift happens.

I have laughed and cried with brave souls over and over as they opened to, confronted, metabolized and then released unfulfilled dreams, unhealthy bonds, false obligations, misplaced loyalties, frustrated goals and insecurities based on other people’s (or their own!) expectations and standards. It is a challenging, intimate, vulnerable and astonishing process that feels like magic to witness. It is my experience that, as the 13th century poet Rumi said, “The wound is the place where the light enters you.” Let’s gently bring light into the places that have been asking for attention. You may be surprised what you find!

Ways we can discover ‘home’ in your space

My role is that you get to feel seen while you reshape your space. Our work together helps you confront the deeper level, where shame has taken up residence and hopes you will never open the shades. If you feel called to take on this brave challenge, I offer several options to work on yourself with the support of me and others in your shoes.

1:1 Live virtual sessions
This is laser-focused time together via Zoom. We will zero in on the areas in your home that need attention in 11/2  – 2 hour sessions. We take a deep dive into your closets, kitchens, paper, storage and (take a breath) sentimental items—all the spaces you have been avoiding. We deal with decisions together, move objects to their rightful place and we pause for a breath when the inevitable discomfort arises.

Rest assured, you will not be doing this alone. I see my work as a sacred act of witnessing, holding space without judgement and without preconceived ideas of what you “need”. Just fun, loving encouragement, support and sometimes a thoughtful kick in the rear when needed.

Small Group Work- The Space for Change Collective
This group is for women ready for uncovering deeper patterns beneath clutter with the support and encouragement of a group setting. We meet twice a month and membership includes access to the private Space for Change Collective Facebook group.

Body-Doubling Sessions

Body doubling is a well-known and effective support technique for people with attention challenges. It means working in the quiet company of another person, either side by side or virtually. A calm, friendly presence can ground anxious thoughts, soften harsh self-talk, and steady attention when frustration kicks up. Knowing someone you trust is on your side can soothe the nervous system, making the work feel more manageable and far less lonely.

This is an intensive 6–8 hour work experience, held through text messages and video check-ins throughout the day. You choose the focus and set the goals; I hold the container and keep you moving forward. This works especially well when you have the time and energy to tackle a larger project and benefit from someone being there with you. We connect with hourly text check-ins and three 20-minute video sessions to reset, refocus, and keep momentum going.

I have done this work for a long time and I have seen how clutter weaves itself into memory and obligation. That’s why I commit to stand beside you while you untangle the feelings of shame and overwhelm. My commitment to you is to offer you clear guidance, warmth and straight-shooting honesty.

For a no-pressure chat, let’s get you and your nervous system back into regulation.
